For our most recent shoot, we were back in the studio making the most of those studio lights and simple backdrops. With an aim to shoot something with more of an editorial feel, we were playing around with a look reminiscent of the sports luxe trend that’s been all the rage this summer (Yes, we’re aware that everyone’s left and we’re still well and truly on that bandwagon).
We paired the outfit with the Nike Free 5.0 Flyknits in black and grey. We are totally in love with the design of these and Nike, usually not one to disappoint, have created really comfortable and great looking ranges of trainers recently that are great for wearing anywhere – not just to the gym. So you’ll definitely catch us in these running to the corner shop or pretending that we just worked out (come on, you’ve so done it too). We also really love the Roshe Run Flyknits but these just pipped the post and made it onto our feet!
The skirt is a genuine leather piece from Mango and while on the pricier side it feels like it’s really great quality and is something that’ll last for ages if you take care of it. It looks especially great with tucked in jumpers and t shirts as the mix of textures gives a nice contrast. The longline cutout vest is a pull & bear find that was also featured in our last ibiza outfit post; we’re really loving the mix of fabric here! Finally, we’ve got to give a fanfare for the glory that is this wool cape coat. We’ve been on the hunt for one of these for ages and haven’t seemed to come across anything that felt just quite right. ASOS do some nice ones but can be hit and miss when it comes to quality; this one we found at Mango and it’s the perfect mix of winter coat and smart blazer. We definitely going to be wearing this out in the winter, especially with over the knee boots!
