Outfit | All Saints Jersey Dress & H&M Alternative

We’ve been on the hunt for the perfect jersey dress for god knows how long. Let’s face it, style is very particular and by those standards we have very particular expectations for a jersey dress that can be worn anywhere. For the dress to truly be the one it needs to figure hugging but forgiving at the same time, it needs to be casual and cool but we still want to be able to wear it out with heels. It needs to be the right colour to be worn with anything, it needs to be great quality material to withstand multiple wears and it needs to be a little bit different – because of course we want to be original – duh.

With all of these insanely particular standards our hunt led us to All Saints, a great place if you want really good quality casual wear in our humble opinion (though of course a little on the pricey side). Our amazing find was of course the black Sabie Dress, it’s super comfortable and goes some way to replicate the off duty model style that everyone’s craving at the moment. Needless to say we grabbed these in the recent sale (which is still ongoing) for quite a steal in 3 different colours (too much? we don’t think so). We might just check out what else they have going on in the sale…oh no.

Another one of our favourites from All Saints is the Riviera dress as seen on many a celebrity over the past year (even the likes of Halle Berry). This slinky maxi jersey dress screams cool and looks awesome with some ankle boots and a leather jacket. However as the price point was a little steep and we were a little All Saint-ed out we had a look around for some cheaper alternatives. H&M,  never being a stranger to a jersey dress, had exactly what we were looking for. This grey speckled maxi dress definitely did the trick with the brand also housing the same design in a range of gloomy colours such as black and white. Now this is a full on maxi dress so we’ve tied it up on the side to give it that asymmetric look reminiscent of the All Saints Riviera dress. So if you’re looking for something similar and you’re on a budget then definitely check H&M out.

Since writing our post the Sabie dress has sold out! If you’re looking for something similar, the Mast dress might fit the bill! 🙂
