Hello, our names are Patches and Flash and we’d like to admit something, we are addicted to taking pictures against brick walls *slow awkward clap from the circle of addicts in Brick Walls Anonymous who welcome us to the group*. If you haven’t noticed already, aside from sharing our fashion and photography musings, we seem to be amassing a rather large collection of pictures against walls. I swear we’re not doing it on purpose. The secret hipsters in us must just come out at these shoots and make us find locations which wouldn’t go amiss on some niche indie band’s album cover.
This particular graffiti clad wall was discovered on our recent trip to Brighton, which I think perfectly compliments this bright blue skater dress from Miss Selfridge. For someone who owns and wears way too much black (Seriously, I look like I’m pretty much in a state of either constant mourning or constant misery), this is a pretty bold step out of my comfort zone. Saying that I am fully converted and loving the bright blue tone and the fit of this dress (Miss Selfridge also do them in white and black if colour isn’t your cup of tea). The skater style fit is also quite cute and girly; I find myself fighting the urge to ride a bike with a basket down a country lane whilst wearing it…
Dress from Miss Selfridge, HERE (currently sold out in blue but available in ivory and also on sale!)
One the subject of being bold, if you haven’t checked it out already, we’ve talked about being creative regardless of social pressures and the fear of perceived failure in our medium collective ‘Creative Introverts‘ – give it a read!
